Spotted at the weekend in Dubai Festival City mall: an ad for Egyptian singer Tamer Hosny - performing LIVE on 16 January, pop fans - situated at the bottom of an escalator.To clarify, the ad was on the floor, and Festival City patrons were busily walking over Hosny's face. Given all the recent hullabaloo about how grave an insult the soles of a shoe are in regional culture, this seems like a strange bit of placement. Possibly Hosny wouldn't be too happy about it, either...
